Target salary of kkyear DOE Responsible for supporting and improving existing manufacturing facility and being an integral part of future special projects developments.
Assist in the development of new products bringing expertise in current manufacturing techniques and assist in establishing suitable manufacturing techniques Provide engineering support assisting and liaising with the Design and Quality departments to provide swift resolution to any manufacturing issues.
Drive an increase in manufacturing efficiency through analysis of workflow processes tooling and equipment.
Work with the Special Projects team to evaluate potential manufacturing techniques and help inform the design process.
Take responsibility for the transfer to production of new products designed by Special Projects working with the Operations Quality and wider manufacturing team as required.
Assist in prototyping and pilot production.
Design tooling jigs and fixtures for the manufacture of new products.
Design inspection gauges for use in a production environment.
Create Standard Operating Procedures and Process Control Plans.
Specify and purchase production equipment as required.
Prepare and execute project plans both on time and within budget Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering A minimum of years of experience working within a design production engineering or manufacturing environment involved in the transition of products into production and supporting production implementation.
Experience of evaluating production methods and making effective appraisals based on capital expenditure part cost design tolerances accuracy and repeatability Having a continuous improvement mentality and ability to identify and implement improvements in operational efficiencies Experience of designing jigs fixtures and tooling in D CAD ideally SolidWorks Good commercial awareness with the ability to make judgments on cost and value.
The ability to plan prioritize tasks and coordinate with internal and external stake holders Excellent communication problem solving and analytical skills A curiosity about the latest cuttingedge material and manufacturing technologies and advances in production processes.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
